The Tanzania Geological Society announces TGS 2022 Annual Conference, which will be having a leading theme

Strategies in Creating Conducive Investment Environment in Extractive Industry

Sub themes:

1. Mining for development
2. Energy mix for sustainable development
3. Mining Act, Regulations and fiscal regime
4. Water for Livelihood
5. Geotourism in Tanzania - A sleeping giant
6. Collaborative research for stimulating development in mineral industry

It is anticipated that this year conference will provide a unique experience and opportunity for geoscientists to get together and deliberate on current geoscientific issues in Arusha, Geneva of Africa.

We invite ABSTRACTS for ORAL and POSTER presentations that will fit to the main theme or Sub-themes of the conference. Abstracts can be submitted via TGS email (info@tgs.or.tz).

During submission of abstracts, authors should indicate their preference of either oral or poster presentation. For poster presentation, the recommended size for posters is A0 (Portrait; Width 841 x Height 1189 mm).

Everyone opting for poster presentation will be assigned a space for display of his or her poster.

Registration process to the conference can be done online via our email (info@tgs.or.tz), through which all registration forms and evidence of payments should be submitted.

Fee categorise for the conference are as follows:

1. 100,000 TZS for TGS ordinary members
2. 50,000 TZS for TGS student members
3. 150,000 TZS for non members

Excursion cost is 300,000 TZS per person.
